Common Modifications to the Gross-Star and Grosslab series of products include:
Point-of-use electrical receptacles, Most country-specific configurations are available.
Specified sizes, Modifications are generally limited to height and width only.
Left-hand units, Essentially a mirror image of the standard unit (available on most models).
Single foot pedal water control rather than two.
Specified shelving, Larger or additional shelving available (space permitting).
Type 316 stainless steel construction, Slightly more corrosion resistant than standard type 304 stainless steel.
Other modifications may be feasible upon request.
Customer-Specified Pathology Workstations

Common features incorporated into these designs include:
Back draft ventilation, by which fumes and odors are evacuated backwards across the work surface away from the user
Downdraft ventilation, by which fumes and odors are drawn downward through perforated grid plates that form the work surface
Containment options: open-sides, stainless steel side -splashes and hoods with see-through hinged upper panels. Panels are fabricated of abrasion resistant polycarbonate or laminated safety glass (some restrictions apply)
If monitoring airflow is a concer, sensors can be provided with an alarm system that audibly and visually indicates when airflow drops below a specified level.
